Vila Gale Coimbra

i was there for 1 night and ate at a la carte restaurant with good breakfast. the staff were very nice, provided good services. this accommodation had a very central setting to the santa clara bridge.

The staff was absolutely indifferent.

We only stayed for 1 night with an elderly lady and wanted to have a light meal, not a full one at the restaurant. We wanted to eat indoors but there were no tables to sit at, only by the pool which was a bit cold. There are only sofas indoors, which is not adequate for elderly people to eat. Everything else was very good.

The room we had was impressive and immaculate with chairs on the patio as well as beer in the mini bar. The service was polite and the pool was great. And they had a bar in the reception.

The evening live music by the pool was a delightful surprise, creating a wonderful atmosphere after a day of exploring. Additionally, the breakfast buffet offered a fantastic variety that made each morning special.

Good location for Coimbra and easily accessible by car, clean rooms, large pool, good breakfast.

Instructions for in-room safe and A/C did not match use of those items.

The position of the hotel is not the most convenient, but all its other facilities make you forget it.

No furniture on the balconies of the rooms. Great view - can't understand why. Poor bathroom ventilation. Zero bathroom sound insulation - unlockable sliding door with at least 1,5cm gap allowing light, sound and odour transfer - inadmissable in a brand new four star hotel!

Bleak neighborhood. The room we stayed in had a horrible mold/mildew smell.

We loved the hotel, we had a room with very nice view towards the river and the pool zone. The breakfast is highly recommendable and the staff is very nice.It's a good value for the money

its much further away from sites than we would have liked, long walk to get to old town. spa was great, but they insist on a swimming cap and will sell you one if you don't have one!! food was good too.

Great accommodations at a great value. The upgraded superior double room is well worth it--it included free parking & drinks in the minibar. We were also given a free bottle of wine when we ate at the hotel restaurant. Very satisfied.

Nice atmosphere with a great breakfast

Request a wake-up call prior to your first day. They can easily assist with medication timing, helpful if you're recovering from a procedure.

Good hotel, well located in Coimbra. Staff were very friendly

5 Euro's to use the gym was a bit steep although the facility itself is quite good.
